Cheryl Golphin was allegedly so skilled she could lift a wallet, steal credit cards and return the wallet without the victim knowing.
Portland Police arrested 46-year-old Cheryl Golphin on numerous charges related to theft and fraud.
Detectives have investigated several cases where victims were losing credit and debit cards only to later discover that someone was using them to purchase gift cards and designer handbags.
Detectives learned that Golphin was approaching unsuspecting victims in cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores and stealing their credit cards without them knowing. In many cases, Golphin was able to retrieve the credit cards and return the wallets without the victim knowing.
Detectives believe that Golphin could be involved in several other cases in the Portland Metro area and continuing to investigate reports.
Golphin is described as an African American female, 5'3" tall, 230 pounds, and walks with a limp.

Golphin was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on 17 felony charges, including Aggravated Identity Theft, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Identity Theft.
