A power substation problem kept trains from running from downtown Portland to the Hollywood District.
UPDATE: Power has been restored to the system, but trains can't cross the Steel Bridge. Shuttle buses are moving passengers around that problem. Crews are working on the substations located at the Rose Quarter and Steel Bridge to solve the problem.
TriMet's MAX system ground to a halt in downtown Portland Monday morning when a failure at a power substation caused trains to stop.
The Portland Streetcar was also shut down.
No trains were running from the Jeld-Wen and PSU stations to the Hollywood Station.
The cause of the outage is under investigation and TriMet does not have an estimate for repairs.
Some service was restored on the Yellow Line from the Expo Center to the Rose Quarter. Trains are running from the Hollywood Station east. And trains are running from Hillsboro to Jeld-Wen Station.
There are delays on all of the trains that are running.
Shuttle buses are running on the MAX lines where trains are stopped.
