Logan Storm cut his monitoring bracelet in January and fled the state.
The search is over for Logan Storm the former Beaverton Middle School teacher who was convicted of possessing child porn January 29th. He cut his monitoring bracelet and fled the state.
His car was found in Los Angeles. KATU News reports that Storm has been arrested by U.S. Marshalls in Mexico. Details of the arrest have not been released.
When investigators found the porn months ago, they said Storm fled to London where he hid out for nine months.
He was finally convinced to return to the United States and face the child porn charges.
While he was convicted of possessing child pornography, he was initially accused of child sex abuse. But those charges were dropped.
Law enforcement officials said Storm is in custody in Mexico.
Separate indictment
Meanwhile, by coincidence, law enforcement officials say an indictment charging Storm with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse was unsealed in Multnomah County Court the same day of his arrest.
He is charged with inappropriately touching two girls – both under 14 – at a public swimming pool July 10, 2007, law enforcement officials said.
The indictment does not elaborate on how Storm knew the girls but sources say they were not students at his school and he is not related to them.
