Chef Pascal Sauton won Eater's Hottest Chef in America contest.

The owner of Milwaukie Kitchen & Wine has won Eater's "Hottest Chef in America" contest.

Chef Pascal Sauton said he'd serve his Pabst Blue Ribbon inspired Tillamook White Cheddar soup topped with seared Kobe hot dog bites for lunch to the general public on Friday, February 22nd from noon to 4 p.m. at Milwaukie Kitchen & Wine.

Sauton has many accolades under his belt.  His other restaurant Carafe was chosen as Best French Restaurant by Portland Monthly Magazine.

Sauton received recognition in the August 2004 issue of Fine Cooking Magazine and Carafe was voted the “Best Value in Portland” by Bon Appetit, as well as a “Good Deal” in Gourmet’s 2004 “Restaurant Guide.”

According to Gourmet, Pascal Sauton “is a skilled Parisian chef with his finger on the pulse of Portland tastes.” Sauton won top honors at Seafood OREGON’S 2006 Chef Competition. His winning recipe was Oregon Salmon Effeuillee with a Truffled Dungeness Crab Nage.
