Yusuf Sheikh-Nur is being held on $3-million bail.

Washington County Detectives are searching for additional sex abuse victims following the arrest of a Bethany man.

Detectives believe that 28-year-old Yusuf Sheikh-Nur, of Bethany, has engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with numerous people since November 2012.

Detectives arrested Sheikh-Nur on December 18, 2012, originally charging him with two counts of third Degree Sex Abuse along with multiple counts of Harassment, and Burglary.

Sheikh-Nur was lodged in the Washington County Jail until he was bailed out on February 1, 2013.

Beginning in the morning of February 11, 2013, there were reports that Sheikh-Nur began inappropriately approaching women in the city of Beaverton and in Bethany.

It was reported he would approach women he did not know and ask them for kisses. When they refused his advances, he would force himself on them.
Sheriff's Deputies began a search for Sheikh-Nur.  On the same day, February 11, shortly after 9:00 p.m., Sheriff's Deputies were contacted by a female wanting to report that she had been held against her will and forcibly raped by Sheikh-Nur. It is believed this occurred in his Bethany apartment.

Sheriff's Deputies located and took Sheikh-Nur into custody shortly after 11:00 p.m., at a residence in Aloha.

Sheikh-Nur is lodged in the Washington County Jail, he is charged with Kidnapping, Rape, and numerous other sex crimes. He is currently held on $3,150,000 bail.

The Washington County Sex Crime Detectives believe there may be additional victims of unreported crimes committed by Mr. Sheikh-Nur. Because Mr. Sheikh-Nur traveled by mass transit, these crimes could be anywhere in the metro area.

Detectives are seeking the public's help regarding this case. If you have any information, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (503) 846-2500.
