Buyers fire shots at the seller.

When selling items to unknown buyers it's good to do it in a public place, but that still doesn't guarantee you'll be safe.

Portland Police report that a person selling an iPhone over Craigslist was robbed Saturday night.

The victim arranged a meeting at Northeast 42nd and Killingsworth.

The victim told police that he met the two suspects at the corner to sell the phone and one of the suspects punched him and took the phone. Both suspects then fled on foot southbound on 41st Avenue from Killingsworth.

The victim followed the suspects in the car and he told police that one of the suspects fired two shots at him as he followed. The victim was not hit by gunfire and did not require any medical attention after being punched.

Officers searching the neighborhood did not locate anyone matching the suspects' descriptions.

One suspect is described as a dark-skinned African American male, 18-19 years old, 5'7" tall, thin build, wearing dark clothing. This suspect was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned white male, 18-20 years old, 5'7" tall, heavy build, wearing a blue sweater.
