Two vehicles collided on Highway 47 near Forest Grove.

Thursday morning around 7:20 a.m., two cars collided head on near the intersection of Highway 47 and Martin Road.

The driver of a 2004 Ford Focus was northbound on Hwy 47 and lost control of the vehicle sliding sideways into the path of a southbound 1995 Honda Civic.
The passenger of the Ford Focus and driver of the Honda were seriously injured in the crash and required extrication from vehicles by rescue crews.
Both were hospitalized at Legacy Emanuel.  Their conditions are unknown.  The driver of the Ford Focus was not seriously injured.

While there were foggy conditions in the general area of the crash site, police do not believe weather to be a factor in this collision and the crash investigation is continuing.  The Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon State Police also assisted in this investigation.  No citations have been issued.
