Washington County deputies believe 46-year-old Jose Ponce-Guitron broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and cut her neck.
Washington County deputies are searching for Jose Ponce-Guitron. He is accused of breaking into his 42-year-old ex-girlfriend's apartment in Aloha, violently attacking her until neighbors intervened.
Sgt. Bob Ray said the victim was injured.
"She did have a deep cut to her neck and she was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries."
Ray said the victim told police Ponce-Guitron used a metal object to force a sliding door open. Neighbors in the Willow Springs Apartments on S.W. Doyle heard sounds of someone in distress and forced open the woman's front door to help. That is when the suspect ran.
He is considered a transient and may be driving a green 1999 Honda Pilot, Oregon plate YMY 389. If you have information about him, Ray asks you to call the sheriff's office, 503-629-0111. If you see him, call 9-1-1 but do not approach him.
