The bank's loan customers may seek face-to-face guidance to avert foreclosure.

Wells Fargo loan customers who are having a difficult time making mortgage payment may seek face-to-face help from loan counselors who can facilitate load modifications or discuss other options during a Thursday workshop in N.E. Portland.

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in Hall C of the Oregon Convention Center, 777 N.E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Wells Fargo Senior Vice President-West Region Joel Sarmiento said customers who need help should act quickly.

"They shouldn't wait. The longer they wait, the less options there are for those customers."

The workshop is not designed for customers who are deep in the foreclosure process and specifically designed for Wells Fargo customers. But for people whose loans are owners and served by Wells Fargo may be eligible for state and federal loan programs designed to aid those who are close to losing their homes.

Customers are encourage to make appointments for the workshop by calling 1-800-405-8067 or by visiting the Wells Fargo Home Mortgage website. Walk-ins are welcome. Parking is free.
