The Oregon Historical Society is holding a farewell event for Oregonian cartoonist Jack Ohman.
For the past 29 years, Jack Ohman has entertained, delighted, educated, irritated and provoked citizens of our state through his work as the editorial cartoonist at The Oregonian. As the recipient of nearly every major award in the field of editorial cartoonism, and with his works syndicated in over 300 newspapers across America, Jack has earned a reputation as one of America's best editorial cartoonists.
In January 2013, Jack will leave Oregon to begin his new job as the editorial cartoonist at The Sacramento Bee. Join Jack and OHS Executive Director Kerry Tymchuk for a special "farewell conversation," where Jack will share his unique and often hilarious perspective on journalism, politics, fly fishing, and Oregon.
Admission is free, and the event begins at 6:30 PM at the Oregon Historical Society 1200 SW Park Avenue, downtown Portland.
