Next May, Portland voters will have a chance to continue programs that help kids at risk.

Ten years ago City Councillor Dan Saltzman fought for the Childrens Levy.  "The Children's Levy is about giving every child in this city an equal shot at success."

In 10 years the city has invested 100-million dollars in programs to educate - feed - protect the most at risk...and foster...kids.  "95 cents of every dollar is invested directly in the programs that are serving Portland children."

And...every year those programs help thousands of kids. 

The city council is sending a renewal of the Childrens Levy to voters next May.
