Three statues were significantly damaged by a vandal Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Three Italian marble statues that were damaged Wednesday and Thursday nights at The Grotto in N.E. Portland, the home of the popular Christmas Festival of Lights.

The heads of Joseph and the baby Jesus were removed from one statue and the head of Joseph was removed from another statue that was knocked off its base. Two small angels were also damaged. The heads have not been found.

"These statues are large, they're very heavy and they're over a hundred years old. And while there's a dollar figure attached to them, I think it's fair to say that they're priceless items to the people of The Grotto," said Sgt. Pete Simpson.
