Tires were slashed on around a dozen vehicles near SE 18th and Morrison.

Portland Police responded to the report of a vandalism in the area of Southeast 18th Avenue and Belmont Street Monday night.

The caller reported hearing a car window break and then saw a white male riding away westbound on Morrison Street on a bicycle.

As officers were enroute, the caller reported seeing the same subject using a knife to slash tires on vehicles.

Officers arrived within minutes of the 9-1-1 call and arrested the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Robert Allen Bradford.

Bradford was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree. Additional charges are possible as reports are filed with police.

Portlanders living in the 18th and Morrison area with vehicles that were vandalized should file a report by calling the non-emergency line at (503) 823-3333 and reference the key case, 12-103475.

Officers left business cards on some damaged cars that were parked in the area of the vandalism.

Due to the quick call to 9-1-1, officers were able to be in the area within minutes and make the arrest.
