A Gaston school bus carrying 15 children, ranging in age from 6 to 17, was involved in a traffic accident Monday morning. There were no serious injuries reported.

The bus was approaching the campus of the Gaston elementary, junior high and high school at about 8:40 a.m. when it collided with a small pickup truck outside the Gaston Market at Front and Park streets.

One child was taken by parents for treatment. No children were transported by ambulance. The other 14 children were transferred to another bus and taken the remaining two blocks to the Gaston school campus on Park Street.
