Thursday night, Portland Fire crews were called to the 5100 block of SE 104th Avenue where a dog had fallen into a hole.  It was either an old well or cesspool.  The hole was 15 feet deep.

The Fire Bureau's Trench Rescue Team put ground pads around the hole to keep it from further collapse.  Using an animal restrain pole and and a rope they pulled "Frito" out of the hole.  Frito was in the hole around and hour and was in good condition.

The hole has been covered until it can be filled with dirt.
