Stephanie Gano is a 2nd Grade Teacher at Burton Elementary in Vancouver. Her nominator and parent, Rheanna Rosein, had this to say about her:
I would like to nominate my daughter's 2nd grade teacher Stephanie Gano! She is not only an amazing teacher but a great person in general! My daughter hated going to school and this woman helped change all that. We all have that one teacher we will remember and who changed things for us for the better and she is definitely that. She truly cares for her students inside and outside of the classroom. She ends each day with a high five or a hug! She makes learning fun and it shows because what she teaches STICKS! My daughter is an avid reader now and has more confidence in herself than ever! Mrs. Gano was able to not only teach her current class 1st grade but also move up with them to 2nd grade as well. She has taught them not only educational skills, but also how to be kind, and know they can do whatever they set their mind to! She has two active kids of her own but still finds time to attend her student’s activities and support them there as well. Teachers like her are rare and deserve major kudos!
Congratulations Stephanie Gano from all of us at K103!
